Your Body is a Holographic Device!

by Sunny Cooper, M.S., M.Ed.

Many of us got our first exposure to holograms in the movie Star Wars, when the film portrayed holograms of Princess Leah and Obie-Wan Kanobe. But little did we suspect that our own bodies are actually holographic in nature. Not only is this concept interesting, it also has vast practical value for practitioners and consumers of holistic health care methods.

“Holistic” comes from the same word root as “Hologram”. Reflexology, iridology, ear acupuncture and many other Mind-Body techniques for assessment and therapy depend on this principle.

An ordinary photograph or a photographic negative gives us a two-dimensional depiction of the subject in the photo. The negative looks just like the picture except for the color reversals, but we can easily identify the subject of the photo. If we cut the picture (or the negative) in two, we end up with two halves of the picture.

But with a holographic plate this does not happen. The holographic plate, when held up to regular light, looks like a field of many splatter marks. No image is identifiable. The image is only created when the plate is placed in a special projection device. But the amazing thing is that if the plate is cut or broken, each and every part contains the entire image when placed in the projection device!

Thinking of the human body as a holographic device brings us to the realization that each part of the body is reflected in every other part of the body! And the DNA code is present in every cell.

This concept may help us understand why benefits may occur in one are when something happens in another. Also, we can't identify the location of emotions and feelings.... they are really everywhere!
