If you are a massage therapist practicing in any of the states in RED, the continuing education courses offered on this web site can meet at least some of your CE CEU requirements, in addition to your NCBTMB, AMTA, and ABMP requirements. If you live in a state with black text below, you should contact your state licensing board's web page for a list of approved courses/providers. Note that many states require fewer hours than NCBTMB requires. If you need more hours for NCBTMB than your state requires, you may get those CE Hours from any of the courses offered in this web site.
Alabama – 16 CE Hours every 2 years; CE’s can be only from Alabama approved providers
Alaska - No CE Requirements
Arizona – 25 CE Hours every 2 years; 12 can be from home study; NCBTMB approved providers
Arkansas- Requires 6 CE hours per year, but does not accept home study for CE credit
California - No CE Requirements per state; check your city regulations
Colorado - No CE Requirements at present (May, 2009)
Connecticut – 24 CE hours every 4 years; 6 Hours can be via home study; NCBTMB approved providers
Delaware – 24 CE’s every 2 years for LMT’s; 6 Hours can be via home study; NCBTMB approved providers
Florida – CE’s only from Florida approved providers
Georgia – 24 CE Hours every 2 years; NCBTMB approved providers
Hawaii - No CE Requirements
Idaho - No CE Requirements
Illinois – CE’s only from Illinois Approved Providers
Indiana - No CE Requirements
Iowa - 24 CE’s every 2 years; 6 Hours can be via home study; NCBTMB approved providers
Kansas - No CE Requirements
Kentucky - 24 CE’s every 2 years; must have at least 3 CE in Ethics, NCBTMB approved providers
Louisiana – CE’s must be from Louisiana approved providers
Maine - No CE Requirements
Maryland - 24 CE’s every 2 years; at least 3 CE’s in Ethics; check for other specific requirements, NCBTMB approved providers
Massachusetts – New licensing law in effect; CE requirements not yet established
Michigan - No CE Requirements
Minnesota - No CE Requirements
Mississippi – CE’s only from Mississippi approved providers
Missouri – Requires 12 CE hours/renewal cycle; NCBTMB approved providers
Montana - No CE Requirements
Nebraska – 24 CE’s every 2 years; only approved programs can be used
Nevada – 12 CE’s per year; NCBTMB approved providers
New Hampshire – 12 CE’s every 2 years; NCBTMB approved providers
New Jersey – Massage licensing was started in 2008; CE requirements are not clear at this time
New Mexico – 16 CE’s every 2 years; 4 can be via home study for Ethics
