Home Study CE Course

A key to success in acupressure, shiatsu, and Tui Na is using the points to their maximum benefit. Practitioners of massage and other modalities such as Lymph Drainage Massage and Craniosacral Therapy can also enhance the effectiveness of your sessions by incorporating acupressure points. In this fascinating home study CE course, you will explore the energetic functions, locations, and clinical applications of several of the main point categories. This course introduces the Source points, Back-Shu points, Front-Mu points, emotional effects points, accumulation points, gathering points, and luo points. You will receive a course packet consisting of descriptive text, graphics showing the locations of points, and tables summarizing their functions. An audio CD accompanies the packet so you can listen to descriptions of the categories and their functions. After reading and listening to the materials, you can answer the questions at the end of the packet. Return the answers by postal mail or email. I will grade them and send your Certificate of Achievement for 4 CE hours for NCBTMB.
Prerequisites: Previous massage school training in massage or Asian bodywork modalities.
Learning Outcomes: Participants will learn about the functions, locations, and clinical effects of major point groupings used in acupressure.
Requirements for Completion: The course is pass/fail. You must achieve 80% correct responses on the questions. The questions are open-book and you may refer to the course materials or other resources to find the answers.
