Mission and Goals for Continuing Education
My personal mission and goals for developing educational programs and materials:
1. To encourage and offer relevant, interesting, and affordable training for massage and bodywork therapists to upgrade their knowledge and skills to better serve their clients and themselves.
2. To promote our profession's image among conventional and non-conventional health care providers, striving to create highly trained competent practitioners with cooperation, mutual respect, and clarity of scope of practice among health care providers.
3. To increase awareness and knowledge of theory and technique of Asian bodywork, in such a way that Western-trained minds can understand and utilize Eastern modalities more effectively, and integrate them with other techniques and knowledge they already have.
4. To elevate public knowledge and opinion about our profession and its practitioners as competent, knowledgeable, caring, and effective health care providers.
Home Study Continuing Education Programs Policies
1. Participants have 4 months to complete a home study course and submit their responses for grading. An extension may be granted by request, when necessary.
2. Payment for course materials must be sent before materials can be mailed to participants. Materials are sent to participants by postal mail within two business days of receiving payment.
3. Study materials cannot be transferred to another participant. Once the materials are paid for and mailed, they can only be used by the registered participant for a single use for the number of CE hours indicated.
4. Responses to inquiry questions will be graded and returned to the participant. Successful completion of all responses, and satisfactory responses are required for completion of the module and for issuance of a certificate of completion. The inquiry process is open-book; participants may use any and all course materials in answering the inquiry questions.
5. No refunds for unused course materials.
